Vijayawada MP Mr. Lagadapati Rajagopal on Wednesday night withdrew his decision to visit the SK University in Anantapur on Thursday due to the instructions given by the police top brass asking the OSD Charu Sinha not to enter the university campus.

The MP had earlier decided to visit the SK University on Thursday and meet the students agitating for united Andhra.

The MP decided to meet the students in the wake of lathicharge by police in the university in which a large number of students were injured.

The MP categorically said he would oppose entry of police into the universities whether Osmania or SK University and he would visit the university to meet the students and express solidarity.

Sources close to the MP said the fasting leader changed his mind with the instructions given to Charu Sinha not to enter the varsity campus.

Mr Sanjay, the principal of the Police Training School will monitor the University affairs till further orders given, said the reliable sources.

Earlier, the MP demanded that the OSD Charu Sinha should be transferred from Anantapur.
