Telangana region achieved more progress compared to Andhra and Rayalaseema regions in the last 53 years after the formation of Andhra Pradesh, said the Vijayawada MP Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal.
The MP who began a hunger strike three days ago, spoke to the mediapersons on Thursday evening. Mr Rajagopal said he was ready for debate with the TRS chief Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao to prove that Telangana region is ahead of Andhra and Rayalaseema in development. He read the details of the welfare schemes and investment made in the three regions of the state.
Mr Rajagopal said Karimnagar district is in the first place in paddy production with the crop area of over 16 lakh acres pushing back West Godavari to second slot. Referring to free power, the MP said Telangana region has the highest free pumpsets with 18 lakh, Andhra region with five lakh and Rayalaseema with seven lakh. He said he was ready for a debate with KCR and could prove that Telangana achieved more development in medical, health, education, industries and other spheres compared to other regions.
Pointing to Jala Yagnam, he said Telangana region will get the lions share of Rs 80,000 crore
