n order to clear extra rush of passenger traffic, South Central Railway (SCR) will run special trains from Hyderabad to Vishakapatnam and Secunderabad to Kakinada town and back in December and January.
The SCR Vijayawada senior divisional commercial manager, Mr B. Vijay Bhaskar, in a statement on Tuesday, said the two trains would run via Warangal and Vijayawada railway stations.

Train No. 0748/0747 Hyderabad-Vishakapatnam-Hyderabad special will depart from Hyderabad at 7.30 pm on December 24, 26 and 28 and will reach Vijayawada station at 2 am.

It will start at 2.20 am and reach Vizag at 8.30 am next day.

In the return direction, train No. 0747 Vishakapatnam-Hyderabad special will depart Vizag at 7.10 pm on December 25, 27 and 29 and will reach Vijayawada at 2 am and leave at 2.20 am.

The special will reach Hyderabad at 8.50 am the next day passing via Eluru, Warangal, etc. Train No. 701/700 Secunderabad-Kakinada Town-Secunderabad special will leave Secunderabad station at 10.30 pm on December 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. The train will arrive at Vijayawada station at 4.45 am and depart at 5 am and reach Kakinada at 8.50 am.

In the return direction, the special train will depart at 9 pm at Kakinada on December 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31and January 1.

It will arrive at Vijayawada at 12.45 am and depart at 1.05 am and finally reach Secunderabad at 8 am the next day.

In the return direction, train No. 0700A Kakinada Town-Secunderabad special will depart from Kakinada on December 20, 27, 2009 and January 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 at 9 pm. It will arrive at 12.45 am in Vijayawada and reach Secunderabad at 8 am the next day.
